Two movies, Yu Yu Hakusho: The Movie and Yu Yu Hakusho the Movie: Poltergeist Report were also released in 19 respectively. Two OVA series, Eizou Hakusho and Eizou Hakusho II, were released in 19 in Japan.
The anime originally ran from 1992 to 1994. The original run of the manga was from 1990 to 1994. The anime was produced by Studio Pierrot, and licensed by Madman Entertainment, Funimation Entertainment, and MVM Films for English audiences. The manga was published first by Shueisha in Japanese, and later in English by Viz Media. So, I hope you’ll consider supporting VIZ and buying it from their online reader, or just springing for the books themselves (you can get them used some places now for dirt cheap, which is nice).YuYu Hakusho is a Japanese manga and anime series created by Yoshihiro Togashi.
It’s just a bad system, it means less manga is made and less is translated. Just as bad, places like Mangafox often make shittons of ad money by poaching the work of scanlators and reposting it, often without the desire or consent of the scanlators-it’s causing scanlation sites to close down, too. TokyoPOP and umpteen small, sincere manga and manhwa translating companies had to close their doors specifically because of pirated manga on places like Mangafox, and many minor Japanese artists struggle financially because so much of their work has been pirated. People should also be aware, and my heart’s on my sleeve with this, I believe strongly in buying manga when it’s available. You can also buy the manga and read it online, legally, through the American copyright holder Viz’s manga site for about $7 a volume, and through Amazon’s kindle (which you can open in a browser through Kindle’s browser app) for $6 a volume, and I’m sure it’s available on Barnes and Noble and such too. You can also buy Movie 1 & most of the extras dubbed here or on Amazon (search for Eizou Hakusho), and Poltergeist Report has been out forever and ever but isn’t worth buying, really, especially if you’re not a sub person (the dub of Poltergeist, which is not licensed by Funimation, is heinous), though you can probably get it cheap. I’m sure google will help with windows specifics. Here’s a tutorial for how you change audio and subtitle settings to Japanese (and to English from Japanese) on a Mac. Confirm, and double click the file to enjoy your new episode.ģ. Look down to Open With, change that to VLC, and click change all. Right Click (control + click) a file of the type you want to open in VLC. You can also set all files of this type to open in VLC, so you don’t have to keep right clicking. You might need to open the file you downloaded from Google Drive using your right click (control + click on a Mac) and set this file to open in VLC, if some other program is opening it.

HOW TO WATCH WHAT YOU’VE DOWNLOADED FROM GOOGLE DRIVEġ. I’m a little worried about the lag, or exceeding bandwidth and my drive being shut down. All episodes are dual-encoded, and have the Japanese audio, the English audio, and English subtitles for the Japanese version. However, only by downloading will you be able to watch the Japanese version, and use subtitles! Google drive plays the first track of the file, and that’s the English dub in this case. If you own your own version of the series, consider sparing the drive and watching that if possible. In fact, they came out with a remastered dub in dvd and bluray recently. For the time being, we’re going to attempt to use Google Drive to let you either:ġ.) Watch the episodes in Google Drive (which may not work or may be laggy if that’s what too many people do, and which only lets you watch the dub).Ģ.) (My recommendation!) Or, download the episodes from Google Drive well ahead a time, a few at a time, and watch them on your computer using the open-source media player VLC. You can buy those all over the place, by the way, including Amazon. The only way YuYuRewatch endorses watching Yu Yu Hakusho is through our google drive, or through your own dvds or blurays. Since Yu Yu Hakusho is not being officially streamed on Hulu, Crunchyroll, or another legal site that’s not an attack site and provides high quality streaming-and because Funimation’s claimed copyright is preventing the safe torrenting sites from bundling it, and uploads to places like mediafire are largely a thing of the past-we are not endorsing any streaming sites, though if you’d rather just google for one, that’s your prerogative and you’re welcome to do so!
